No Logon Server Available to Service Logon Request, what does it mean?

One day in the morning when I get in to my office, I found that I cannot login into my computer with following error "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request ". I login using username that I never used before. When using my own username everything seems normal. I wonder because yesterday everything was OK when I left office.

After searching this problem on the internet I found a posting. I just know that there are several factor can cause this error. In the bottom line the computer cannot contact domain controller correctly, so the error message pop up.

One of the common mistake is that the client computer not connected to the network and the user who tried to login was not using this computer before. This is their first time. If the person once login to the computer, the message is not appear and user can login normally.
there are currently no logon server

This could happen if the network cable not connected also the wireless not connected to the network and the user first time login to the computer. This computer tried to looking the use credential on domain controller but cannot found the sever, that is why this happen.

The common solution is to disjoint and re-joint domain. Many of the times this kind of error will gone after we doing this. If you still experience problem after disjoint and rejoint domain please refer to the link above, because there are other alternatives to resolve this no logon server available problem.
